The Western Environment Centre works on food and climate action in western NL. We run hands-on community projects like community gardens and a fruit rescue, organize educational events such as workshops and speakers' series, and get involved in public dialogue on critical issues facing our region and province.

Nourish is a registered non-profit supporting healthy food environments for children and youth. Nourish is on a mission to inspire every child in Nova Scotia to eat, enjoy and value food that fuels healthier people and a healthier environment. We believe our young people are the key to igniting this transformation. By empowering children and youth with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their food and where it comes from, we are developing champions who demand better – for themselves, their families and their communities.

Farmers' Markets of Nova Scotia is a non-profit cooperative of over 35 unique members representing more than 1,500 owner-operated businesses. Our cooperative is the unified voice of Nova Scotia's farmers’ market sector, advancing growth and prosperity for our member markets and their vendors through training, resources, advocacy, promotion, and community.

Cooper Institute is an intergenerational, community development collective, active in Prince Edward Island since 1984. For more than 35 years Cooper Institute has worked with other Island groups that are organized for positive and progressive social, economic, political, and cultural change. Our areas of focus are food sovereignty, livable income, protection of land and water, democracy and migrant workers' rights.

RAVEN (Rural Action and Voices for the Environment) is an activist media and research project. We are exploring how digital media can bring attention to and support action on rural and environmental issues. Our project works with and supports champions for sustainable rural communities and the environment in New Brunswick.

We are a group of people who find our passion in working with the land, sea and forest in a way that is kind and respectful. We see permaculture as the way towards a healthy climate, preserving biodiversity and creating a compassionate and healthy society.

PAN connects permaculture practitioners, organizations and businesses in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island together to share resources, create capacity and build community. We are a volunteer run, grassroots organization.

The Farmers' Truck is a New Brunswick social enterprise, empowering food security organizations all over North America to serve their community using a mobile farmers market.

The Co-operative Enterprise Council is a community economic development organization that works to create healthy communities and strong local economies through co-operatives and social enterprise. We provide a broad range of training and services to help our members build their capacity and undertake special projects to advance innovation in our sector. We also advocate on public policy issues aimed at building a new economy where people and planet matter more than profit.

Dalhousie University, Faculty of Agriculture, Food for Good, is a leading group of systems researchers and change agents on food systems, sustainable diets, and critical media literacy. We seek to increase the voices involved in shifting food systems and increasing equity, access, and sustainability. Food must be good to do good.

Food Secure Canada is a pan-Canadian alliance of organizations and individuals working together to advance food security and food sovereignty.
